8月2日 New Toolbar ReleaseIf you're a user of our Live Toolbar Plug-In, you probably got a notice yeasterday telling you a new version is available. Hopefully you were able to do so, but we've heard a lot of feedback that the upgrade was confusing. Yeah...sorry about that. The new verison of our plugin requires the latest version of the Live Toolbar, so if you don't have that, you need to upgrade to it first. Here's what I recommend doing:
1) Uninstall Windows Live Favorites for Windows Live Toolbar
Go to your control panel and select "Add or Remove Programs". Look for an entry called "Windows Live Favorites for Windows Live Toolbar" and remove it.
2) Install Windows Live Toolbar 3.0
Go to http://toolbar.live.com and install the latest version there. It should be version 3.0.
3) Install Windows Live Favorites
Go to Toolbar Options and selet "Install Buttons". Scroll down until you find the Windows Live Favorites button. Click the link to download and install.
You should now have the lastest version of the Toolbar and Windows Live Favorites running. Please let us know if this doesn't work.

Live Local allows you to save and share collections of pushpins. Have some favorite lunch spots around town? Send them to your friends! Planning a trip? Mark out the spots and send it around to your co-travelers. Check out http://www.passthepoi.com for even more ideas on cool collections to make and share.
When someone sends you a collection and you want to keep it around, what do you do? Add it to your Favorites, of course! When you receive and open a collection, it will open in a pane on the left hand side of the screen. If you're signed in, you'll have an "Add to Favorites" button. Click to name, save, and tag the collection. It's automatically saved for you in your Live Favorites account within the "Favorite Windows Live Local Collections" folder. Now you can access your Favorite collections anywhere!
This once again shows another great example of how we're trying to integrate Live Favorites everywhere to stay true to our goal - Your Favorites, anytime, anywhere.
Enjoy! 5月23日 Favorites in Messenger - Moving on Up!Have you been using Messenger? Have you been using the Live Favorites Messenger Tab? No? Why not??
The Messenger Tab is the latest and greatest way to access your Live Favorites. I don't know about you, but there are several programs I *always* have running - Email, Newsreader, and Messenger. Messenger is a part of my daily online experience, keeping me in touch with friends and family across the US and around the world. With the Live Favorites tab, it also keeps my favorite web sites at my fingertips!
Now, to go to one of my favorites, I don't even have to open a web browser and start looking for the item I want. I just flip over to the Live Favorites tab in Messenger and start typing. My favorites list is instantly filtered as I type, narrowing down the list to exactly what I want. Way easy, way cool!
How cool is this feature? So cool that we're moving up the list! The Live Favorites tab is now one of the top tabs in Messenger. We want to thank the Messenger team for that. We look forward to bringing out even cooler features within the tab!
So, now will you give it a go? What else would you like to see there? 5月2日 IE7 Beta 2 Issues FixedHi folks,
